Doglemi Soft & Comfortable Dog Cone Recovery E-Collar

Haven’t used the neck ring yet, but I will agree with some other posters who said that the size chart is not spot on. I did measure multiple times before I ordered and my dog’s neck is pretty small. I ordered the size indicated but should’ve gotten one size larger. As someone else suggested, I’ll just leave the innermost snap undone so I can still use it.

Our Golden Retriever was thrilled with the Lilly and Max e Collar. Her head was free and it wasn't a big deal when she ran into things. But she managed to get the top snaps undone and began licking the surgery spot so we had to put the old traditional e collar back on.

She is scheduled for a bit more surgery, so my husband has gotten a dog collar with a Fastex buckle and will cut it in two and sew it over the snaps so she can't get it open. Hopefully that will work and we'll all be happy again.

Another idea you might consider is putting 5 or 6 loops around the neck opening so we, the owners, can put a regular collar through the loops (to keep the dog from getting it loose).

Over the years, I have tried EVERYTHING out there for my 14 year old spaniel mix - various cones, sleeves, etc... This is the best. It's so soft, so light, allows her to drink and sleep comfortably. So thankful to have finally found something that works that is also comfy for her. She is 16 lbs. and her neck measured 11", the medium works - I just can't snap the tightest/smalled snap, but it stays on well regardless and is the perfect length to keep her from getting at her feet and legs.

My corgi had a horrible neck injury. She got bit and ended up with antibiotic resistant bacteria inside the wound. Her skin around the bite died and she had to have surgery to remove all of the dead and infected tissue. With over 50 staples in her neck, we couldn't put her in a cone because it would rub on the staples. The donuts didn't work either. Some how I stumbled on this Victorian collar. It was the perfect answer. She wasn't restricted, couldn't scratch, and it didn't rub or leave her with hot spots. She had to be in this collar for nearly a month. It never bothered her.

Regarding size, you should definitely measure before you buy. The size we needed is not what I would have ordered if I hadn't taken measurements.

I can't recommend this product enough.

Love this 'cone', but despite measuring and re-measuring (24lb, 7yr old, cavapoo, measured right in the middle of the XL range), she was able to slip her head out of it. I left her collar on in front of the cone to make removal over her tags/collar clips more difficult. She is quite calm and left it alone for all but 1 of 14 nights--this would have been more frustrating with a younger and or more active / determined pup. That said, she was comfy and able to sleep, eat and drink with relative ease. She practiced for a few days prior to her surgery, which helped enormously during recovery. I'd buy it again, but would likely size down.

i ordered size 2x after reading reviews of sizes being a bit small. I have a standard golden doodle who is tall and long. The collar was too large on him, he could easily pull it off. Since he is long, it allowed him to get to his neuter stitches. This was a better alternative since he seemed comfortable with the collar rather than the traditional heavy plastic cone. I should have ordered a large rather than a 2x but he seemed happier with the soft cone as he could move freely with it. I would definitely recommend this cone to anyone.

Very lightweight and my dog doesn't mind it all all. as soon as I put it on him he had no problem and was very comfortable with it! he walks, drinks, and eats just fine! overall great alternative highly recommend!

I rarely take time to write reviews but I wanted to make sure I wrote about this soft cone. My Pyrenees fractured his front leg. This cone was a perfect alternative for the plastic cone.
He could eat, drink, sleep, maneuver very well with this on him for such a long recovery time.
Easy to clean, adjustable and flexible.

My Doberman HATED the regular plastic cone the vet sent her home in. She kept bumping into everything, couldn't eat or drink and was miserable, so I found this soft foam collar. Boom! It did the job effectively to keep her out of her abdominal area, but she was still able to reach her back paws. It may not be a problem for breeds with short snouts, necks or legs.

The tubes are very flexible and still soft enough that she can lay her head down. The material is water-resistant and easy to clean. Very lightweight, easy to put on and take off because of the snaps.

My long-legged Doberman had a torn claw she kept chewing. Unfortunately, this collar didn't stop her from reaching her feet. If she had shorter legs or a wound elsewhere, I think it would work well. It's definitely more comfortable and less distressing than a regular cone. I'm still giving it three stars for its dog-friendly design.
